###How to get started!###~Getting an account!~As of now, there are only two ways to get an account, because making an account requires a Korean Social Security Number, and identification over phone, or with documentation.Way Nr.1: Talk to a Korean friend and ask him if he can hook you up.Way Nr.2: go to www.newgameway.com and buy an account for 10 USD. They will mail you the account info usually within a couple of hours.(As the Open Beta is now over, Lineage 2 Classic has become pay-to-play. The cheapest payment plan is buying a 90day Time Card, which per month equals €17, instead of €22 as a 30day card would cost. This definitely won't be for everyone, so question your reasons why you want to play here. Original L2 was never free, and apparently still isn't. )*~Downloading the client!~There is no standalone "Classic client". The Classic version of the game is included in the regular Korean Lineage 2 client. (You can pick a classic server at the server selection screen. It's the bottom three.)The client 'downloader' can be downloaded here -> http://lineage2.plaync.com/classic/download/client/indexRun it, and click on the red button to the left. It will then start downloading the installation files. The speed is slow at first, but tends to pick up after a while, though you should expect it to take some hours.*~Installing the client!~Start the installation with Setup.exe . Some people have had problems getting this to run, and it might be that you need the newest directx (standalone full) to get it to run, and/or possibly the newest .Net Framework (4.5.2?) installed.Use your intuition to click on the right buttons. The one to the furthest right is "Cancel" etc. Once it is installed, you can run the game by clicking on the icon on your desktop. (not the one with the yellow explorer logo on it, but the other one. The normal Lineage 2 looking one)The update window will pop up, and it will likely start updating. After it's finished you can click on the blue button and the game will start.*~Logging in!~The first box is for your login name, which in this case is an email address that you have been given by your korean friend, or by newgameway.comThe second box is your password, and the third is something else which you can basically ignore.At the server selection screen, you'll see two separate lists. The big one on top, contains all the 'normal' servers. The shorter list below, has 'classic' servers. I personally suggest you pick the one with the longest name, as I have plans on starting an international clan there for us who aren't too good at communicating in Korean. (the server might be full during peak hours)*~Ingame!~You've just made your character and entered the game, but everything is in Korean!! Well, tough luck. Take a few lessons on youtube.Or, if you've played L2 before, you probably kind of know your way around the interface. Just expect to be making a few buttonclicking-mistakes at first until you kind of just know what is what, and which is which.How do we do quests when everything is in Korean? This isn't just Pre-GoD. This is C1/C2.You might notice that there is some ping. You can try some ping-reducing software, or a korean VPN, but it hasn't really been an issue for me yet, at least.
